Parfait frowned. She normally would never be rude or dismissing towards children, especially cute little girls, but Peridot was an exception. After all, it was her magic that turned her father into stone.
"Do you not have some other things to do? I would very much like to be alone. Au revoir."
Floating lazily around the princess, like a bratty little emerald fly, Peridot only smirked.
"Nah, everything’s pretty much going to plan so far." It only gave her more glee to float a little closer and add smugly, "Besides, you might get lonely without some com-pa-ny.”

Parfait walked out to the balcony in her room, looking up at the starry skies. She looked terribly depressed, and who wouldn’t be in her situation? Her kingdom being ruled by an evil queen, being constantly harassed by her henchmen, not being allowed outside her quarters and her father turned into a stone statue.
"Oh, Sir Carrot. I hope you come back soon." She sighed with deep melancholy, "I wonder if you are looking at ze same stars as I?"
Peridot decided that this was probably a good time to visit. You know, because it wasn’t as if she had anything better to do with her time besides talk to the prisoners. The weirdly-accented prisoners whose kingdoms she had trashed.
"Yeah, probably. I mean, there can only be so many stars, right?" And it wasn’t as if the ‘great heroes’ were on the other side of Dreamside. Just a continent over or so.
